Attendance Communications
Punctuality and reliable attendance are important to your success on this assignment. Here's an overview of the policies while you're on assignment for the BIC Distribution Center.
Attendance Policy
Kelly follows a point system to track attendance during an assignment. Points are accumulated with absences or tardiness. Exceeding your allowed number of points will end your assignment. For full details on the point system, click the button bellow.
Your first 30 days - 1 point allowed
You're allowed one point. Your assignment status will be reviewed if you exceed these allowed amounts within the 30-day work period.
12 months - 6 points allowed
Associates will be allotted six (6) points for unexcused absences in a consecutive twelve (12) month period.
Running late?
Need to report an absence/call out?
Reporting Absences & Tardiness:
You must provide as much notice as possible, but no less than 2 hours, unless it is an emergency.
YOU MUST communicate to your employer, Kelly Services, if you are unable to report to your shift OR are going to be late.
Use the location phone buttons below to contact Kelly to let us know you'll be late.

Corrective Actions
To determine if an associate’s absences are excessive, the number of absences they have accumulated within any three- or twelve-month period will be reviewed and considered. It is understood that events may arise when the associate does not have advance notice that he/she is going to be late, leave early, or be absent from their shift. Therefore, associates will be allotted 6 unexcused absences in a consecutive twelve-month period.
Corrective Disciplinary Action
Verbal Warning = 3 points in 3 months
Written Warning = 4 points
Final Written Warning = 6 points
Termination = 6.5 points or more
NOTE: If a Kelly associate agrees to work a day outside of their normal schedule (if asked, or employee volunteers and supervisor agrees), this workday is then considered a scheduled workday and is subject to the guidelines outlined above.
Excused Absences
Company requested absences (lack of work, plant closing due to weather, etc.) and absences that are approved under the following policies will not count against the associate’s attendance record:
- Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Military Leave of Absence
- Jury Duty
- Bereavement Leave
- Workers Compensation (Work- related injuries)
- Emergency closures
- Previously-communicated vacations or holidays, disciplinary suspensions, or other absences excused by the Kelly Onsite Management team.
